The sheer volume of money and investment flowing in all the northern New England states over the past couple years is unheard of and created a highly competitive marketplace of rentals with investment that do not appear to be slowing down, even given the rental rate’s dropping double digits over the past couple years.

I would advise you to look for a house instead of a condo.Condos have many fees, rules and can have expensive assessments for repairs and improvements that you will be forced to pay.Also Condos are a dime a dozen so the competition is fierce which drives the nightly rental rate way down.

Also, I've added about $250 to my monthly costs to cover utilities.Looking on Furnished Finder, I do see plenty of places in my approximate price range, so I thought my target (average of $1100/room) was competitive and reasonable.
