Things like the stock market, the casino, and the state lottery are all open to me.IMO the 200K income bar is too high. 

There are a lot of plants that are/will be opening in the area as well as extensive expansion of the casinos in Downtown Detroit.

If you're buying rented properties (whether SFRs or hotel/casinos or anything in between) making investments into such deal (i.e., buying into partnerships in those sort of deals), or you're loaning someone money, you're investing.

The casino industry is collapsing (in AC) and many people are out of work.

Tribal casinos / resorts are also a big plus to the areas growth.The park management fees are already included in the expenses on my first post.

I think Obama owes us a casino.

My dad is always blaming the casinos for the problems there... any money people earn doesn't go into the community, it goes to the casinos.

for 26k.. was not buildable but it was right behind a home depot shopping center and within 1/4 mile of freeway and freeway off ramp.fast forward 20 years and the Graton Indians bought the land next door for 240 million and built the largest Indian gaming casino in Northern CA if no all CA... right next to me.. they brought in all the infrastructure so that now I have sewer and water paved road and stop light within one lot of me.Along with the city bringing me into the city limits and zoning me mixed used resi.. looking at commercial on the bottom and 50 plus condos on top.. market value in that area about 3 mil. now... but hey it never cash flowed a day I had to pay 300 a year in prop tax'  Prop 13.. and mow it once in while.. so its for all those reasons I think one needs to be somewhat of a risk taker and visionary.. now 26k for me was not much risk.. but it could have continued to be worthless non buildable piece of land..  

(A casino reference)  Go and find the person, whether male or female, who can do what you need done.I also think that women's investing groups are also self limiting.
