12 March 2024 | 105 replies
Gonna try my hardest not engage in a pointless political debate, but there goes, we actually have a real growing problem in our country in the fact that our birth rate is below replacement level, we also have a massive shortage of skilled and even unskilled labor which anyone in construction can attest to, now I’m not sure the current system of just chaos at the border is great, and I’d much perfer more legal immigration but one way or another we need more tax payers and more labor and we need to find a way to set up a system that encourages legal immigration and brings more skilled labor especially for trades and shores up social security and Medicare with a new tax base.
