Ditch the cable and just keep high-speed internet.

Well, I was stupid enough to take the knife to the airport and had to ditch it, so I got a Victorinox Hercules to replace it.

But then do I do as @Steve Vaughan suggests and ditch it once we are in mortgage land?

I feel like I have put on my Little Mermaid bathing suit and swim goggles, ditched the water wings and now I am shivering at the end of the diving board at the deep end of the pool. 

Are we ditching our original plan too quickly?

I would definitely ditch Agent Slowski but as someone else mentioned, he may still feel he is due his commission or at least he could argue he is.

Recently reaching age 42 I realize the need to leverage my strengths: speaking English, Spanish, Italian, possessing a class B CDL, computer graphics experience, tech savvy, verbal communication, and writing skills rather than rely on the low ROI of ditch digging.

If this was an oil company claiming that they could make more money if they were just allowed to dump the waste from their drilling operations into the ditch, you would object.
