I was firm, but gentle when i explained everything to him.  

Submit a letter to the board asking to keep them, be gentle.

And while I may gently encourage a client to think about the transaction, it is always a client's decision, never mine, to go try and call other investors.

If I had to commute from Everett to Seattle and could choose between a twisting jerking train like that, or an express bus, I'd chose the bus. 

They have been marketed over the years under various names, including Self-Directed Installment Notes, Deferred Sales Trusts, Structured Sales, Structured Settlements, and numerous other names, each with a slightly different twist as to how they are structured and how they work. 

Most CPAs do a great job in they own state but can get a little twisted on other states unless they've done a LOT of multi-state tax work.
