I'm just looking for some experiences with basically condemned buildings, which are either brought back to life or perhaps replaced with a manufactured duplex or similar?  

I lived in Berkshire county for 2 yrs quite some time agoDidn't appear to be great flipping area but good buy and hold areamaybe things have changed and GE  or other companies have brought jobs there best of fortune  to you . 

I wanted to give a little bit more information since I brought this up.  

I know you said that driving hasn't brought you any leads but lets say one same across that fit your criteria, would you just ring the doorbell ask begin to present yourself to the homeowner?

As a landlord, Mitch C. brought up a good point about the ease of maintenance on electric. 

When the unit turned over in late 2016 (november which wasn't optimal), it was vacant for 6 weeks and brought in $200 less per month.  

Our "disagreement" has brought me to the forums. 

When an issue presents itself, my current tenants correct it when it is brought to their attention. 5 out of 9 had to move on because they could not adapt to the new regime when I took over the buildings.

We brought out the last of the trash bags with our luggage.

They brought the parts and total with labor was around 170 bucks!
