Somewhere around $110- $140/ sq ft depending how elaborate or bare bones you want to build.

. $117 just doesn't have enough meat on the bones for me.

My wife makes a pretty good salary, but not enough to sustain our current lifestyle on it's own (not lavish, but not bare bones either).

Basically he was buying new during opening phases (best pricing), building bare bones, doing his own upgrades after closing and selling.
