Most of the speakers (though not all) I heard the first day did not spend the majority of their time pushing their products, but they did spend a few minutes saying things like "my company does X, Y, Z" and we have a training program coming up in DC on these days for this price.

I agree with Jon in that you need to get the P&Z input at the thinking stage before saying anything to anyone.

@James Z. if the repair work was done according to how it should be done and the price was reasonable, pay the contractor.
