The bonus is that I typically close at least one transaction a year, in which case the costs for the license are covered (or nearly covered).I agree with @James Woodrich that everyone knows an agent.

Some people add bonuses and penalties for time constraints if those are of the highest priority.

My wife and I were making HH income of $160-190k in an average COL market (variable based on my bonus and her self-employment income which has increased from 45k to 60k over her first two years and is on track for at least 60k again in 2018.

I've heard of landlords giving tenants a bonus if they have the place show ready and move out with enough time to move in a new tenant with no lag.
