I'd strongly recommend spending the first few months or more networking and self-educating before you consider paying for any kind of program or mentor/coach. 

Depending on your STR area, the table stakes to compete is very high right now so your furniture and amenity spend is going to be way higher than you think.

So basically, for a B minus area, for a 3 bedroom brick home you will spend 110k for a rental that brings in $1,400 per month and in a class D neighborhood Section 8 you will be all in for the same cashflow at $80k.If you extend you view to "Metro" Detroit you have more opportunities in Cities like Warren, Hazel Park, Taylor, Romulus, Eastpointe, et al,. 

Where do you go from here after spending all of this money on education and time setting up your syndication business?

Money remains available for spending needs 24/7 by using the checking account as you normally would.

I don't give on my net after depreciation ect, but I also don't give on the 50K I spend on a unit's rehab.

Stop hanging out with your deadbeat buddies who spend all day drinking, talking sports, and otherwise wasting away.

You do not need to spend that much on furnishings, I think $5,000 is adequate.

I didn’t want to spend the money to invest in his program but I admit it was a great investment.  

My recommendation is you spend a year and $10,000 learning about syndications.
