Both banks and credit unions are good starting points, as they can offer different types of financing solutions that might suit your down payment goal of 15-20%, but the chances of getting 15-20% are limited as 25% is more likely to open more doors for you. 

The market has a lot of baseline - economically friendly STRS but only a few luxury STR's, most of which are dated and drab.  

I would recommend interviewing a few different brokerages to figure out which office would best suit YOUR needs. 

Not every property is suited to an MTR (or an STR or even an LTR for that matter.)

You want to make sure that your property type and location is suited to the type of travelers coming to your area so that you market it appropriately, price it appropriately and can be competitive.

But I would recommend luxury vinyl plank (SPC - stone composite) with a high wear layer, or wood look ceramic tile.

Wire fraud, identity theft, fake sellers, fake buyers stealing things from listings… all these things are common these days and agents always get named in the resulting law suits because they carry E&O insurance.

The reality is that most can't fund every deal or may have an underwriting guideline that doesn't suit your deal.

Make the property as luxurious feeling as you can within your means.
