If you are not sure what to put in the email or whatever form of communication you choose, this is what I say:Be sure you follow all recommendations for the county by local emergency officials.Please remember to bring in all outdoor items ahead of the storm including things like patio furniture and children's toys.Let me know if there is any damage to the property as soon as it is safe to do so.  

Long story short, there "emergency services" took 4 days to fix a leaking water heater. 

Get several emergency contacts and have her sign a form naming a person who can come get her belongings "in the event of unanticipated prolonged absence"  (death or incarceration! 

Dont expect any "deals "  If you are in the path and need emergency work done .

I've read mostly positive things about using a HELOC to invest in income-producing properties, although I've also read that it's a good idea to hang onto it for emergencies. 

Or should we leave it all in a separate savings account for emergencies?

In the Denver market, I have found many emerging areas for my investors.

I'm trying to  avoid dipping into emergency funds and savings, so some creativity in this business is definitely in order.
