Here's the thing, even with every modern currency death (Weimar republic, for example) the country still functioned one way or another until things stabilized.

It wouldn't surprise me to see some sort of UN fiat currency pushed as the new world reserve currency.

If you're sharp enough to have gotten fixed rate financing, rent will increase with inflation while the mortgage stays a fixed currency dollar amount no matter what that currency is "worth".
