It's a three family home I believe, classic prewar NYC charm, and I want it!

My first two purchases were in blue-collar suburbs of the Kirby/Northeast area, but the charm of the older buildings in the downtown and surrounding areas have made me focus on rehabilitating these older homes.I have a few deals in the pipeline and will definitely be seeking the community's advice in the near future.Thanks,Kyle

This is also not merely a motivational tool intended to cheer you along and keep you on task.This is just the real story of one woman (a do-it-yourselfer looking for a challenge), one benevolent investor (with decades of real estate know-how), and one aging house in an up-and-coming area (with plenty of potential charm waiting within the woodwork—literally).

We are dual American/Canadian citizens so we can buy in both countries and are open to investing out of state/country so although we love where our house is located we aren't even living in it and probably won't be for at least the next ten years anyway so I don't know anymore if it makes sense to hang onto it.The neighborhood is one of those cutesy ones where they've built all the homes to look like dollhouse/victorian homes, walk up brownstones with charming old english street lights etc.

Maybe my charm, wit, and personality make up for it:)
