After listening and reading I feel like I am shifting towards some type of loan, not sure which direction but I feel a change in my course coming. 

Fast forward again to the summer of 2017 when I decided to shift my realestate into a higher gear.

It has rebounded, its pretty much back at peak level but we are shifting into a balanced market right now.

Your situation may be different from mine where you may or may not be able to househack like what I'm doing, but I found that I was able to find a lot more properties to work with once I shifted my focus from trying to make money on my first deal to gaining experience.     

Those are not the only markets we are open to however making the shift from smaller multifamily to larger commercial properties has been challenging.Does anyone have advice on locating and building relationships commercial brokers in new markets?

Alternatively, I could shift my focus to buying SFHs (not as favorable in terms of financing, but should still be tenable).

It's a numbers game so it's not impossible, you'll just have to shift the numbers & resources to your side. 

The market here is still fairly hot but everywhere I turn I hear rumblings of a shift.
