The same would be true of any big city - Westport, Connecticut is high priced because families can enjoy the suburbs and still easily access work and recreation in the city.

Are there any success stories out there that involve a raw land or recreational land deal?

I look at the new homes being built locally too...plus crib ideas from HGTV, Pinterest, etc. and try to recreate them on a B rental budget.I did a kitchen and bath last year by exactly copying styles I saw in my Floor and Decor catalog, lol. 

I feel like it could become like the roaring fork valley or Moab, Boulder (30 years ago), Sedona, Durango, etc... attracting people for other reasons beyond energy jobs such as outdoor recreation opportunities, climate, access to nature, great place for remote tech workers due to affordability, less traffic and people than the front range, two big rivers running through town, Grand Mesa, Colorado national monument, lunch loops, Utah right there...

The trend for the past 10+ years has been that the millennial generation (those born between 1981 and 1996) are opting to live in cities more than previous generations and have a strong preference for its amenities such as its walkable access to retail, entertainment, recreation, restaurants and of course employment.  

Mountains, lakes, woodlands and the Tennessee River accommodate numerous recreational activities.

It was a distressed property that needed a full remodel, which I enjoy re-creating a branded piece of history in our local neighborhoods.

I often think that people are overlooking the unique concept or trying recreate the wheel ( mobile homes).
