The site alluded to the liens going to the next bidder if you do not have sufficient funds so I'm assuming you don't actually need the money in the bank account to make the bid (i understand you need the money at some point regardless or you will lose the privilege of bidding in future auctions). 2) when you make your bid and then foreclose on a property, you pay the remainder of taxes/penalties and the full bid price.

You can only get it for a single house that you live in, and if you were found to abuse that privilege, your taxing authority can, and will come after you for back assessments.
