It's not illegal in a "legal" sense, it's illegal in the sense that it triggers the "Due on Sale" clause of 99.9999% of all notes written nationwide for the last ions of years.

Just like every fast food chain is not the same nationwide, every Habitat affiliate is not the same - some are extremely well managed and their homes/residents blend seamlessly into the community, while others may be know for bringing neighborhoods down.Also as a duplex, your property may not even sniff a SFR comp.

I have great credit 800+ score, my problem is, I was involved in a financial crime in 2013 and am going to court for it now, but by the time I move to this duplex, I will most likely be convicted and have a felony on my record, now the mobile home is in a different state, does anybody know if mobile home parks run state background checks or nationwide?

With as many units as you have, you need factual answers...this place is an opinion board and some people have opinions about everything.We arguably need "slumlords" as not everyone can afford a nice place--and some people would rather live in a shabby old building and pay less-- (and some live in a shabby old building and pay more because they are risky tenants) .....but nationwide rental housing has to meet minimum standards.
