I was wondering if the tax benefits outweighed the upfront cost, but it doesn't appear to be so.I definitely would be impressed if you got solar panels though!

I see based on your profile picture that you understand the importance of reps :)  Just like lifting weights, there are a lot of different niches within REI, so I would find one you like and then find people doing it full-time. 

I was very impressed.  

For some reason to him this is a red flag to the IRS.28 years is some impressive loyalty.
