I could see the possibility of it with a pier and beam house that has a wooden sub floor (though I think its probably completely unnecessary), but I would find it highly unlikely that you would ever see cabinets mounted into an actual concrete slab.

In a 50s house you have some of the same issues as a 20's house ... exterior walls aren't insulated, single pane windows, wood rot under bath and kitchen, plaster or concrete walls.

They rock back and forth to try and get up.An idea you can use is an ADA toilet which is more expensive but it sits higher up than a standard toilet.
