Data is much easier to aggregate and monetize when you are now actively creating it lol.We all know that Amazon's true goal, apart from becoming the online retailer of the internet, has been to become the primary server of the internet (AWS).

Figure out a way to monetize it.

That IS an asset and it is an investment, simply with phases to monetization for that investment, because of the INTENT. 

Reducing spending or changing the rules on taxation at one's demise are the only solutions that do not involve very painful choices IMO.Debt monetization is painful.

Unless you bet very badly on the valuation you should be able to monetize without losing money fairly easily.For large loans you can still get non-recourse financing, but it is still very difficult in this environment.
