The frontrunner for the shower surround is still the Elite Marble product #360, (seashells), but we found a vanity top from Home Depot that's like quartz (color is "champagne dunes")- much more resistant to scratches than the resin/plastic Elite Marble product (we thought the quartz-like material would be better for the vanity top), and 1/3 the price.

If it’s a semi-level floor definitely the easy/fast option is using waterproof (NOT just water resistant.. make sure it's a guaranteed waterproof product) LVP over the existing tile floor

as there are some issues due to water wetting the floorsRepairing wood floor cost seems almost comparable to installing new vinyl tiles however I will have to forego substantial existing subfloor and I am also not sure about roi with vinyl flooring (not sure if home value appreciates or depreciates).repairing wood floor also doesn't seem like a good idea as its not as durable and water resistant as vinyl I am confused please adviceThanks

OK Texas people don't flame me.. but every single house I ever did in that area had foundation issues some of them to the point it was recommended to tear the house down and start over.this is a locals market and maybe not every home but a majority of homes will deal with settling in that area at some point in their life.. you can put in piers and its not crazy expensive but then you have to fix the cracks and plumbing and stuff.
