My suggestion would be to find a small firm with just one attorney or a few - large firms would not touch this as no money in it for them and they won’t work on contingencyContingency for them to get 25-50% on this will make it challenging to find an attorneyIf the seller contests the action and it goes to trial, it could cost $50-100k especially to get into discovery.

I say ask your attorney what happens to all your "private" information (assets, holdings, etc.) during the discovery phase of litigation and after the case is closed.Bottom line: If it goes to litigation and your insurance pays out, it means you lost and all your information is now available for anyone who wants to come after you.

I'd call your blanket loan due.Underwriters don't generally have the authority to call loans due, and I imagine there would be several steps between the discovery of the fraud and the calling of the loan due.

Unfortunately, if email retention policies and other "anti-discovery" protocols are executed properly - and after Enron they generally are - it is difficult to prove that anyone "knowingly & willingly" committed fraud or took other illegal action, piercing the corporate veil to hold individuals accountable is next to impossible.Having seen the mess up close and personal, BofA seemed to be the most culpable of the big banks in extending and exasperating the problem.
