I might go back to Canada eventually or move to another country in 10, 20 yrs… Who knows!

@James McGovern if I can assume by "undocumented immigrant" you're talking about someone who entered the country illegally, he/she would not be considered part of a protected class under federal / state Fair Housing laws.

In other countries, they have been doing this forever and in fact they do not have fixed rate mortgages as we know them to be here in the U.S.. 

I'm surprised that Tucson ranked higher than Scottsdale/Tempe and ASU...the combination of Scottsdale as one of the country's top party towns, with the close proximity of ASU Stadium (5 miles) should put them near the top, I would think....?

The way foreclosures are offered varies greatly around the country, and we don’t know where you are located… but where I am at they are all cash affairs, with the money due within 24 hours of winning the bid.  

So my focus is to try to build a larger sum of money compared to if I just concentrated my efforts on making money in my country.

They will lend 65% of the purchase and will allow you to cross with another property you own at 65% CLTV. 

Ideally Equity State: Somewhere Southern which is in close proximity to my home country Jamaica (Florida, Georgia, Texas) 1 . 

We wont close until end of September so keeping my fingers crossed but wanted to share my experience.
