They only conclusion I can draw from their behavior in these matters is that they want to keep me in the fold and would rather sacrifice a little margin an a deal today, to keep our relationship strong (which one could conclude is better for their long term business and hopefully my long term wealth).A few examples:One house we had under contract, I got a 3rd party inspection that came back bad. 

I moved in with my old roommates - a couple with a dog. 

However, I talked to someone recently who made $1000 in a week walking dogs through one of those dog services that has an app.

My uncle has worked in the court systems and in general as a psychologist with sex offenders and people with sexually deviant behaviors most of his career (30+ years). 

All you do is put a few pieces of dry dog food or cat food in it, turn it on... and zap. 

It may also be that the "big dogs" are doing deals where the ownership percentages need to differ often.

I am retiring this December and packing up my wife and dogs and moving to the greater Austin area of Texas early next year.

On top of that, what if all of a sudden you need a new roof, or windows, or a sewer line, or the irrigation system freezes, leaks and floods the basement, or a fire guts the place and your insurance only covers some of the vacancy/rebuild costs, or a flood washes it away and you didn't have flood insurance, or your tenant stops paying and their estranged lover/stiffed drug dealer breaks in and destroys the place, or any one of a myriad possible bad things happens because you have an investment that hinges upon human behavior, and therefor needs constant baby sitting, and 5 years of your glorious $500/month is wiped out in one afternoon, and the bank takes the property?
