In this case my seller wanted to stay in the building through the winter, which was fine as I’m not quite ready to Reno it yet, and she wanted to move her daughter into the upstairs unit when the existing tenant moves out November 30 which I negotiated a little as there is some electrical work that needs to be done first.

When discussing with one of my daughters about our early beginnings in this journey, my daughter comments I ask you a question “why would you want to get into so much work with real estate when you’re about to retire and relax?

A conversation with my teenage daughter once went like this- Dad, it’s a snow day, can’t you just stay home?

A beautiful newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment where i will be living with my husband and daughter and a 5 bedroom unit next door (also newly renovated) with 2 bathrooms that we plan to rent by the room.
