I already live out in the country so cell service isn't great, but then they lost a number of cell towers and since internet was down just about everywhere, the cell towers were overloaded.

not wrong  just have to look at markets and market conditions.in many areas of the country building new just does not make sense when existing inventory can be bought for far less than replacement costs.. and rents wont change enough new vs old to compensate for it.

If you want seek that golden lifestyle and looking for that hassle free life, perhaps renting that beautiful apartment and travelling to different countries would be ideal.

Even going full throttle on that front we still haven't been able to fully stave off the decline.As I confer with different vacant land experts around the country, the story is the same. 

@Pat Aboukhaled wife & I have thought this would be a great use of failing malls for affordable housing.Unfortunately, as @Greg Scott points out, many people take the path of least resistance, which can ruin the idea.So, you'd want security cameras and maybe even security guards to hold residents accountable. 

I'm trying to decide what the best path would be with the $110,000 that I pull out.  

The advice I give to my clients who are first-time borrowers is to have three people alongside you as you start your path with fix and flips: a realtor, a general contractor, and a lender.
