Either way, I would try and come to a compromise if it is a property that checks the boxes for you, because I know in my market in Connecticut it is very rare to find a seller that will even entertain seller financing primarily because they can't grasp the concept and/or they need the money from the sale.

@Franky JuwanaYour partner technically should not have been able to use 1031 proceeds to get into a flip project.It is not "investment" for "investment".I am not even sure if he is already compromised, I would think so...I guess something your partner and his accountant will hash out.Have you considered selling your partner your share of the property?
