I thought BP is for investors or people who aspire to be investors. 

There were aspiring, newbies, and seasoned investors and even realtors and other real estate professionals that attended.

Other than filing for an llc, choosing a broker for my license, what other preemptive steps would yall recommend for a newbie San Antonian  and aspiring investor?

Even if it ment vacancy for a month or two.The equity in the house + income allowed them to purchase our vacation house we built in Maine 5 years ago.I'd like to do something similar, I have bigger aspirations.

Sounds like a fun problem to have, though I imagine a bit overwhelming if you have no experience with real estate to start from.What you do *really* depends on whether you aspire to be a real estate investor ... or not.
