Every month this drags on without getting a renter in there is going to eat a hole in your pocket.I also agree that your brother shouldn't be getting a salary for his work and getting a cut down the road.

Lots of these unlicensed brokers are trying to take a cut without any legal ownership.

Why would the end buyer get a cut out of his own deal ?

What I'm looking for is someone who I could ask for comps and simple things and then return would be either a referral or a cut out of the profit.

I'd say explain your position to your contractor on this, if he wants to make a profit off a joint venture ask for a cut for yourself.
