Refinancing doesn't make sense as I'd effectively double the current interest rate and have additional closing costs surpassing the PMI. 

We ran out of money since the original bid from the project manager more than doubled as the project progressed, and it has taken almost a year to complete. 

@Michael Baum I double checked with a CPA that specializes in working with STR investors and he said there was no distance/mileage requirement from your primary.

But 20 years later costs have risen 40-50% while rents have way more than doubled.

your new listing fee is something less or a negotiated amount 0 to 6%  with 2 to 3 being common.. what happens when you double end of the deals..  ???? 

Once you have that you can qualify for a low money down loan and buy a double. 

You're talking close to double that and calling people small minded for thinking that it is a lot. 

The current company just quoted me more than double the existing rate.
