The last time a troop reduction was even mentioned, lawmakers on both sides of the border put the kibosh on it reeeal quick.Regardless of what the state/national economy does, service members on military bases get paid the 1st and the 15th, guaranteed.The DoD long ago implemented measures to reduce the impact on local economies during troop deployments, meaning gone are the days of a "mass exodus" of soldiers during deployments.

Hood in Killeen and it is a pretty poor investment currently because all of the troops are deployed.

In addition to that, the military continues to add troops out there.

@Wayne Brooks - Ordinarily I would agree that if they go to the county they are worthless.

If the military decides to relocate all or some of its troops the apartment market will really suffer.

            Actually yes, likely I will be in Honolulu in November, a good friend is a killer hooper and fire dancer that lives there and it looks like her troop will have a big show booked that I'd come out for.  

When it goes I would ordinarily want to put a top loader in there but there is not the room, plus the renters at that time might perceive this to be a downgrade.

While that much rain can defeat what might ordinarily work, it would be good to review that your downspouts are directing water at least 5-6 feet from your foundation, that the ground is sloping away from your house, and that you have swales or french drains intercepting any water moving down slopes or hills towards the house.On the other hand, if you're dealing with a high water table, it's a different ballgame.My experience with Drylok is that it works well with minor amounts of water, but that any significant hydrostatic pressure will defeat it.
