The scale of projects is just astounding.We're doing everything we can to keep her, but I feel like she will be poached from us soon as the salaries up north are a bit higher than here in LA. 

I have been working a system now for years that help me circumvent the competition; I hate the name but it works - Tax Sale Poaching. 

We have very strict code of ethics guidelines and I never want to poach clients from other realtors.   

You could even poach the contractors your investors are using.

A lot of the migration from Cleveland is just to its surrounding suburbs which are still in the same MSA.No disrespect to the Columbus market, and I respect the hustle and understand that you're just trying to poach people interested in our market and persuade them to go to Columbus instead, but I don't suppose anyone who's really doing their homework will be that easily convinced, especially when Cleveland home values are in fact appreciating AND the cashflow is typically better.

And poaching small and large businesses to leave over taxed and regulated states like CA and NY with incentives.  

Ned Carey is a friend and was a member of Investors United  years ago where classes on all types of techniques of Controlling real estate for a profit was presented.I realized years ago that it is hard to compete with the bulk buyers and the deep pocket investors.I did something different and created some ways to beat  DEEP POCKETS to the deal before they had an opportunity to use their money to control tax sale deals that shut little guys out of the competition, a way to poach and profit even after their bid was accepted and tax sale redemption process has started.The tax sale poaching systems has helped me make some nice profits.

Seeking out Facebook groups is always a smart play.There is also Task-Rabbit you could use for furniture guys and setup, and once you poach someone trustworthy, maybe outlay the entire project for them and paint the result-oriented vision.

Don't worry about me poaching, I don't have the cheddar to acquire this one.  

His concern is likely that once he teaches you "his" version of wholesaling that you will be poaching deals from him in the same area.
