When half of the responses are DON’T EVER and half are GO AHEAD NO PROBLEM that should make an intelligent buyer pause and think about how that could possibly be.

So much to consider here and really the only thing that does give me pause is my really long time horizon given that I am only 41. 

Most syndications have seemed to have paused distributions as they deal with rising interest rates.

So would this give you pause vis a vis the Dodd-Frank Act?

I know the forum has a bunch of info (appreciate it) but wanted to ask a few Qs as it relates to our needs:1) PS vs Indio - We visited both places over the weekend and almost considered a brand new home on the lake at Terra Lago in Indio but had a last minute pause. 

The property's age does give me pause, how much confidence should one inspection inspire in finding out the "majority" of the issues with the home?

If you feel uncomfortable with that $850k price tag, I would pause and recommend attending RE meetups in your area and getting feedback from other local experienced investors on San Gabriel Valley and other parts of LA.

I always thought it was a cool idea, but anytime I see tech people get into real estate and construction (especially to this scale), I really pause and take caution. 

I am in ODC Fund 5 and they have paused distributions.
