I just read a new ranking of market ratings and I was not a fan seeing MN ranked 99.9 out of 100 potential score.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of HOAs—they’re like little dictatorships, and I’ve got some wild stories to prove it!

I have not been a fan of the larger property management companies who heavily market without a focus on the local markets they handle.

For property management, I am personally a fan of managing your first property (with proper education or mentorship before beginning) since this is where you will learn first hand what is required in managing a tenant.

I'm not a huge fan of constant buying and selling - it's just too much damned work at this point in life - but for sure I would jettison anything that wasn't making an acceptable profit, and if you have any RE you should know this number. 

So much fan love sounds and feels extremely odd.

I've also never been a fan of investments that are subject to scarcity myself and feel that it's no way to gain FI.

You mention not a fan of landlording, great, the bank never get's involved in that stuff right.
