Perhaps it is hard for people from the states to understand - but the rule of law, and clarity in regulations etc really makes it so much more attractive than other places where you never know what new policies might come into effect forcing you to take massive loses etc.

They started having a guy from a company called Pathways come to these events and get people to put 40k on 4 or 5 credit cards which put them in massive debt and wrecked their credit because of this dishonesty as well as other things said in the three days.2.

Syndicators do this because most passive investors are not sophisticated enough to realize the "security" of the preferred return means they usually are giving up the potential for massive returns if the deal does well.This next comment would apply for all syndication.

The rental had ratty furniture, a record player prominently featured in the marketing but it had no speakers, missing basics items in the kitchen, lots of drunks in the concrete hallways that reverberated right into the bedroom at 2am, a strong odor of urine outside, and more.We have super hosts in this forum that have hundreds of 5-star reviews and are masters of the craft, but I look at their rentals and see they don't have any artwork on the walls, decor is basic, they do nothing to make the guest feel welcome, etc.
