Is center mid-block or at a hard-corner of signalized intersection?

any direction based on experience would be amazing - I feel like I have a lot of gas in the tank, no map, and I am on an eight way intersection in California XD

In my area it's not uncommon to find little signs at intersections looking to either buy ugly homes or to sell a house to an investor to flip.
