The upstairs furnace is from 1982 according to the home inspector, this is the one that will need to be replaced. 

Unfortunately I had a bad inspector who missed a lot which made it about a $60K renovation instead of what I planned for which was $15K.

Inspection was schedule for today but when the inspector / my realtor arrive the power is off. 

Right now I'm interviewing for an inspector.

These issues were identified by an inspector that drove by each house after the policy was issued.For those that have Obie - did their process include an inspector "inspecting" each house? 

From what I understand, Indianapolis has good good growth potential and seems to be heading in the right direction.

My view is inspectors find problems, it is their job.

The area was without power, materials were delayed in reaching job sites and the city inspectors were not at full capacity as the City was shut down as well.

Basically the city sends their own inspector out who compiles a list of items that are required to be fixed usually within 3-6 months of taking ownership.
