I felt a lot of pressure with the timeline of the 1031 and just moving to the area and dealing with all of the other aspects of being in a new place so I chose the first deal that seemed reasonable.

The reason l'm looking into the Greater Boston are is because l'm from around the area(Belmont, MA specifically) and New London is relatively cheaper to get started compared to Boston from what l have seen. 

My dads portion of our building will be gifted to me in the will FYI.As a real estate agent, I see 5% as a reasonable market appreciation.

why not have that hard talk with your current manager to understand the reasons for not getting the result you want?

We were looking to invest in the area, but ultimately decided not to for 3 reasons:1) The area has become too popular.

He seems reasonable in wanting a small 2 bedroom house.

There’s a reason that big hedge funds still buy and hold houses.

And there are a million legitimate reasons for doing so.
