How much time do you have?

im looking to get into a house hack in either there or venice, or even palmetto, still just looking but would like to be educated when i do decide to make the move, any tips are appreciated, also if you need any help let me know!

If you want to make it a career you might look at (sitting a subdivision).

The deal has to make sense and you really need to know the comps to make sure your investment is going to actually make money.

The short version: save money while educating yourself on how to invest in real estate wisely, buy an investment property, learn how to manage it well while educating yourself on how to manage it better, save money . . . rinse and repeat.You don't mention where you are (education, income, experience, etc.) or where you want to go, so I can't tell you how to get there.

Not able to move (at least for a while) due to my job.Looking to use savings that would’ve been for a primary residence down payment to invest in rental property out of state.Would love to make connections, hear thoughts on good markets to look into, strategies to maximize return, etc.

But don't let them know it.It amazes me how many of our members at MassRealEstate dot net have an Asset worth $300-500k Rent it for .5-1% of value and hardly pay attention to it, yet chase a tenth of a percent in CD rates;-)

You do that, it's going to be best place to start because I am betting from there you will seek how to simplify things. 

I agree, with turning the property over you have to make it ready, account for vacancy and go through the courts for an eviction, all of which will cost you.
