Lake Placid and Saranac Lake in particular have cute downtowns and year round tourism.

It was a improper...there were no judgments but I did have a lawsuit and to be cute the lawyer filed them at the address... that took a bit to get removed.

We all love the idea of the elusive off market deal, but if you are just a person who buys real estate rather than someone who has a real estate business, don't get cute.

Home insurance is not designed or priced to replace roofs every 5-10 years and then to double down and say that doing so doesn't affect pricing is just nonsense.The roofing practices you mentioned end up getting legislated out of existence (see Florida) because they're untenable.I agree the original poster should explore every avenue but there's no way a legit roofing company is going to be able to "turn this around on the insurance company" in this scenario. fraud lol that's cute coming from an insurance guy. 

There is an office that is detached from the house that we could make super cute and promote as a private haven for people and do a few more fun things with the large space of the backyard.
