One if you do not register your company as a foreign company you usually cannot file an answer in court if you are sued. 

How do I research the company?  

In order to have checkbook control, the IRA account will need to be at a trust company that will allow the IRA to invest in an LLC (where you will be the manager and your IRA will be member - an as manager you will have checkbook access to the LLC bank account).

Or suggestions for other companies that provide a similar service?

They seem to be a reputable company, but nothing beats personal testimonies!
