I'm currently planning to purchase a commercial multifamily building in Chicago with the proceeds of a 1031 exchange.

Given the circumstances, I’m unsure whether to proceed or back out of the contract.

@Pixel Rogue The cash out proceeds should be for business purposes such as investing in another RE project. 

They do not take into consideration the revenue from the STR business as part of the selling price.So if comps say the duplex is worth 500k, then it is worth 500k.

My company is licensed in 31 states for owner occupied loans (check my profile) and I can lend in 45 states for business purposes loans (nonQM and dscr loans).
