A little over 15 years ago, in the late spring of 2009, I was a brand spanking new real estate agent coming off of a miserably failed real estate investment venture.

I have a brand new renovated unit that hit the market mid-November and it has been brutal trying to rent it.

I am wondering if my first steps (past the education part) is to build a network of people who know, like, and trust me through posting content like newsletters, articles, podcasts, doing webinars, going to events (aka build my brand), or, should I first find a deal and then raise capital?

I just graduated college and got my license 5 months ago so I'm brand new to real estate as well.

Brand new to real estate investing - I currently have 1 3/2 ranch in good market  (Greensboro/WS/ Highpoint) used for furnished medium term rentals. 

I am brand new to Real Estate and this group.

Being that my business is brand new, do I project business profit when they ask for the annual business income? 

Investors benefit from passive income without taking on any of the operational risks or liabilities, but the model, which is actively developing and innovating, depends on the property owner’s ability to manage the property effectively. 

Tell the buyers if they want a house that is up to current code , buy a brand new one .
