You need to ask a California lawyer where the line is between a squatter there with utilities and a whole house of furniture and a vagrant that broke in the day before after you left working on the place and is there the next morning when you show up to work on the property and has nothing but a sleeping bag. I

The swiftness of cities/Airbnb to enforce new laws and cancel all existing bookings leaving the property owner holding the bag is pretty shocking.
