Not just to investor.Every good syndicator I know (all are pre-covid operators) do a quarterly reporting to investors, and in times of any turmoil or significant changes, it's additional 411. 

We have already finished speculative designs for a typical quarter hectare (2500m2) 12-17 unit boutique holiday and residential apartment complex on the south side of Tulum on the Kukulkan Road connecting the town to the beaches.

When 2008 -2009 hit we were forced to cut our quarterly payouts to reflect the problem loans.

RE meetups that have helped me are very specific to San Francisco Bay Area market (sales and median rents in the last year and last quarter) so I'd recommend finding a meet up or session that might address your local market and if that's a viable option for you to invest in.

The investment side of the REIT is purchasing the loans from their subsidiary lenders at cost -- it even says so in their 10k's / quarterly meetings. 

Inflation whether due to material costs, material shortages, labor shortages, labor wage hikes, or just increase growth demands, etc won't be curtailed starting 4th quarter of next year.
