I will do the same thing with the rentals that I did with my home. ...less debt equals less money needed to enjoy the freedom.

Scott,  @Steve Vaughan is  one of my all time hero's on BP and someone I think gives the absolute best advice on a realistic methodology for attaining this mystic financial freedom from RE .

I'm looking into his Freedom Accelerator program also.

The loss is for renters, who don't have the freedom to take advantage of EVs the way single family owners can. 

You say you want to attain financial freedom, but remember that is a buzzword.
