I recommend you contact a residential banker and a commercial real estate agent and start looking at deals right now, even before you are ready to buy.

I agree local institutions are a good starting point for financing needs like this, but I'd expect the bankers will be unfamiliar with the STR opportunities in the market.

To me, the entire rationale behind a currency like Bitcoin is for it to be a stable store of value that is not subject to the whimsy of overamped central bankers. 

What is important is to realize the banks and bankers are putting their name on your success, its very important to have a strong mission statement and business plan when approaching future projects.
