Hello Community,Is there any mortgage lenders or carriers that accept late mortgage payments(caught up) within last 12 months?

More carriers are being approved to come into the state and the competition should help ease rates.The overall MSA market is still doing well.

This includes lenders, insurance carriers, contractors, and preferred property management companies.

Have you verified with your builders risk carrier that you will have coverage if there’s a claim and the renovation is completed without proper permits?

Some carriers won't allow the landlord to be named "additional insured" but you can at least be named "additional interest," which won't cover you under the policy, but it will ensure you are notified of any changes or cancellation of the policy.

Most carriers don't want to insure a building as a normal rental home if there is a possibility of commercial use, or even if it's set up to possibly be used as commercial even.

This  may not be possible when the fact pattern is so egregious the carrier sees through the tactic.

That said, depending on the carrier, the pricing might be different with you as the insured vs. your partner if the carrier uses insurance scoring.

I've had many single family insurance claims and never had this issue.Was the agent you are using quoting the same insurance carrier?
