After reading that book, I embraced the mindset of a small business owner and I started to really thrive with my business.If people want more specific how-tos in real estate investing, they can read Robert Kiyosaki’s book The Real Book of Real Estate.

But this is a public internet forum, so toughen your skin and ignore the haters and embrace the good advice. 

Once you commit to yourself to turn around this losing scenario you will embrace the multitude of experience available though books and reading.'

It was extremely freeing for myself when I finally embraced that. 

If you're willing to get into this knowing that you may make some mistakes, but will embrace those as learning opportunities, then you're chances of succeeding should be very high.

I encourage you to embrace his technique

Hey @Bryan McDonald, this is a savvy question to ask and I'm bummed that you are having to ask it, but glad you are embracing this frustrating situation to learn.As an investor and a retail agent, I get to see both sides of this situation (and your question could be IDENTICAL to what one of my sellers is asking himself right now).   

I know there are a lot of nice pre-built structures these day though, and the west coast seem to be embracing that idea more than some other areas.If you are on a city lot you'll probably already have public water and sewer- but be sure to find out if they are already ON the property or just available to the property.

Honestly, all of the big ones behave in pretty much the same way, since they all embraced some iteration of the "deny, defend, delay" tactic.
